The Crown Moran Hotel is a 4-star hotel development project consisting of 121 guest rooms, restaurants, bars, leisure facilities and public spaces all located within a spectacular glass atrium and lobby. The hotel is built alongside the heritage listed Crown Pub, a landmark Victorian structure with a terracotta exterior that has been fully restored.
We worked with the design team to create a suite of metalwork solutions to compliment the historic Crown Pub but using a modern approach. We developed a curved staircase embellished with a bronze coloured balustrade capped with a walnut stained oak handrail, a detail extended throughout the hotel. We incorporated more contemporary designs using stainless steel and glass in the new bar and lounge areas. Given that much of our work was curved, a major challenge was co-ordinating the dimensions with allied trades within a tight timeframe.
We adapted our processes to meet the tight deadline and delivered results that our clients were delighted with. We are proud to have been part of this prestigious 4-star hospitality project featuring the best of contemporary Irish design and inspired by the historic Crown Pub.
